Worldwide Dive and Sail Head Office

Based in Phuket, Thailand, the Worldwide Dive and Sail head office team manages all aspects of operations, reservations, accounting and marketing for all Worldwide Dive and Sail brands including the Siren Fleet. Our team is expanding as our list of destinations expands, so if you are already based in Thailand or looking for a move to Thailand and wish to join a dynamic, fast- growing company look no further than Worldwide Dive and Sail.

RESERVATIONS CONSULTANT
Assisting with bookings aboard Siren Fleet and Master Liveaboard vessels as part of the reservations team within the reservations department, also coordinating domestic travel for guests as well as liaising with destinations to ensure smooth information flow.

Major areas of responsibility include:

  • Monitors and responds to new and current inquiries related to Siren Fleet and Master Liveaboard cruises
  • Maintains accurate booking information
  • Liaises with travel team to book domestic travel and accommodation for guests when possible
  • Liaises with accounting department with regard to billing clients
  • Maintains accurate information in associated informational documents
  • Assists with booking enquiries for other department members when necessary
  • Periodically checks accuracy of internal information resources
  • Maintains and increases personal knowledge and understanding of Worldwide Dive and Sail destinations through research, work-trips, etc
  • Excellent level of spoken and written English
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Able to work to a high level of detail
  • Previous experience in travel and/or diving related positions preferred

OPERATIONS OFFICER
A new role is now available in the WWDAS head office operations team, working alongside the head of operations in support of our local operations teams and troubleshooting for each of the WWDAS liveaboard brands.

Successful applications would preferably have mechanical training / background and meet the following criteria:--

  • Certified, renewed and insured PADI instructor
  • Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions to numerous challenges within specified deadlines
  • Previous experience as Operations Manager for a dive centre or liveaboard
  • 2 years+ diving in Siren Fleet destinations within SEA or the Pacific
  • Minimum 500 logged dives
  • Fluent English - additional languages prefered but not essential
  • Ability to work independently in remore locations
  • Basic computing skills (Internet, email) + ability to learn company specific systems & processes
  • Non-smoker

Personal Assistant (PA) to the General Manager (GM)
The PA will work closely with General Manager to provide high quality administrative and organisational support.
The PA will be responsible for the smooth running of the GM’s daily schedule as well as the efficient planning of the overall long term planning of the GM’s work.
The PA will have an extensive knowledge of the WWDAS organisation, its aims and objectives, so as to be the first point of contact for contacts both from inside and outside the organisation and to be able to deal competently with situations in the GM’s absence. The PA will be able to work on a close one to one basis while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

Report to: WWDAS Group General Manager

Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Supervising the travel, visas and accommodation arrangements and, occasionally, travelling with the GM;
  • Attending meetings, providing general assistance during presentations and/or taking minutes;
  • Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate;
  • Organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments;
  • Dealing with incoming emails and enquiries and corresponding on behalf of the GM when appropriate;
  • Organising the daytoday and the long term planning;
  • Carrying out background research and presenting findings;
  • Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations;
  • Organising meetings and providing meeting agendas and ensuring managers prepare accordingly;
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff;
  • Carrying out specific projects and research;
  • Deputising for the manager, making decisions and delegating work to others in the GM's absence;
  • Preparing letters, presentations and reports;
  • Processing claims for expenses;
  • Run errands for the GM;
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required, consistent with the grade of the post.

Key attributes:

  • Ability to think on their feet;
  • Ability to work independently with little or no follow up;
  • Excellent listening skills to quickly understand instructions;
  • Strong communication skills to relate messages or instructions;
  • Strong people/interpersonal skills to be the first line of communication between the GM and outside world and WWDAS employees;
  • Highly developed organisational skills;
  • Willing to travel;
  • IT literate.

Salary:
Highly depending on experience, skills and qualifications.

Dive Liveaboard Cruise Director

Successful applicants must be able to troubleshoot in a remote location and will have the following attributes:-

  • Experienced Cruise Director/ Tour Leader on a dive Liveaboard (minimum 6 months)
  • Certified, renewed and insured PADI instructor
  • EANitrox Instructor
  • Tec-Diving Knowledge (Tec Diver preferred)
  • Gas-Blender - Nitrox & Tri-mix
  • 2 years+ diving in Siren Fleet destinations within SEA or the Pacific
  • Minimum 500 logged dives
  • Fluent English - additional languages prefered but not essential
  • STCW-95 certified
  • Non-smoker
  • Rebreather diving experience (preferred)
