Worldwide Dive and Sail own and operate the Siren Fleet of 4 luxury dive liveaboards and the new Master Liveaboards brand. We offer diving safaris across South East Asia & the Pacific to destinations including Indonesia, the Philippines, Palau and Fiji. Whilst we add Galapagos to our hot list, Truk in June 2016 and French Polynesia in 2017!!

Operations Officer

The Operations Officer is instrumental in the administration of the Operations Department with duties such as creating and consistently using the most appropriate reporting tools. The Operations Officer also assists in improving existing Operations processes and designing new ones. He/she also assists with all Operations purchase activities. The Operations Officer reports to the Central Operations Manager.

Job responsibilities

  • Is responsible for the administration of the Central Operations Department with regard to creating and applying the appropriate reporting tools;
  • Manages all aspects of communication between Central Operations and the local operations;
  • Assists in the development of processes and procedures for both the Central Operations Department, the local operations and the vessels;
  • Assists in the implementation, improvement and reporting of the processes within the entire Operations department;
  • Liaises with and assists the local operations for the purchase of supplies both centrally and locally;

Skills, competencies and experience

Only candidates with the following skills/competencies/experiences will be considered:
  • Strong analytical mind and/or experience in designing processes;
  • Excellent attention to detail to be able to produce accurate reporting;
  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to work with staff from different cultures and levels of education;
  • Intermediate computer skills and interest in new business applications;
  • 2 years of experience in working in the liveaboard diving industry.
Candidates with the following skills/competencies/experiences will be preferred:
  • Ability to adjust to fast changing work conditions;
  • Experience in working with motor vessels, engines and/or air compressors;

Working conditions
Monday to Friday - 9 am to 5 pm - exceptionally, additional work hours can be required, compensated with lieu time.

Dive Liveaboard Cruise Director

Successful applicants must be able to troubleshoot in a remote location and will have the following attributes:-

  • Experienced Cruise Director/ Tour Leader on a dive Liveaboard (minimum 6 months)
  • Certified, renewed and insured PADI instructor
  • EANitrox Instructor
  • Tec-Diving Knowledge (Tec Diver preferred)
  • Gas-Blender - Nitrox & Tri-mix
  • 2 years+ diving in Siren Fleet destinations within SEA or the Pacific
  • Minimum 500 logged dives
  • Fluent English - additional languages prefered but not essential
  • STCW-95 certified
  • Non-smoker
  • Rebreather diving experience (preferred)
